Born and raised in Ojai, California, Aaron Gray Lawson loves the land, the sea, the mountains, and the trees. Droughts, fires, and floods brought Aaron to where he is now.

He has worked as a wildland firefighter, an avalanche technician, stay-at-home dad, accountant, writer, and woodworker.

Five years ago he started milling with a childhood friend. His stash of cured and ready wood went up in flames on December 4, 2017, during the Thomas Fire. Two years later his new stash of cured wood is ready to be made into beautiful pieces of heirloom furniture.
